French Toast

FILMMAKING IN FRENCH CLASS:

Once again looking back at some of my old film projects while killing time in quarantine. This time I found a video from eighth grade in which "I" made French toast for a French cooking project (I say "I" because I kind of cheated — my mum actually cooked it for me 😅).

In terms of filmmaking, this made the project easier because I was able to focus on the camera and filming as opposed to the cooking. The dialogue is limited so I wasn't multitasking — there are moments where I hesitate when speaking, which was either due to holding the camera or not being a very good French speaker. Both are probably true.

The lighting is not the best (I don't know which version of the iPhone I used to film this) and the text font I chose is difficult to read. However, I do remember that I had fun making this and I think the introduction and sped-up clips are amusing to watch. It's a cute, albeit corny, video. And I like it. Enjoy.
