Persephone Trailer

 POMEGRANATES

I shot and edited this trailer for Jazz Hand Productions' original musical, Persephone, which is going on tour this summer. We came up with a shot list together; this was crucial for me as I did not know the show and wanted my clients to be happy. I then made a strip board schedule from the shot list.

The trickiest part of this shoot was that every shot was in a different location, so we were constantly moving. I had 30,000 steps at the end of the day. We were also unable to carry a lot of kit with us because of the location changes (this meant that we did not have lights).

I'm happy with how the trailer came out. I think the shots are beautiful and capture the vibe and aesthetic that the production wanted. They were very specific about the edit. Some of the shots were too dark because we did not have lights for filming, so I attempted to colour correct the shots for the first time in post. I found this difficult and fiddly, but I eventually tweaked them all to a place we were happy with.
